Boy, do I feel stupid.
Ever do something you really feel stupid about? Then did you have this overwhelming need to write about it? Share it with the world so everyone knows exactly how stupid you are?
A little while ago, I did a little bedroom redecoration, which involved some painting, purchasing of new furniture, and getting rid of things I no longer need, or use.
One of my fine purchases was a new desk. Like most of my purchases, I purchased this online. The day it came in, I spent my lunch break putting it together. For some reason, it didn’t come with instructions….but fear not! I’m semi-mechanically inclined.
So this desk has been up for a couple weeks and I’ve noticed a few things “funny” with it….the legs lean inwards, it wobbles, and the metal attachments for the legs were showing. Well, it’s a cheap desk, what can I say.
Today, I had a friend come by to check out my newly renovated room. I was all proud showing it off….all my hard work and creative design. They were quite impressed until they looked closely at my desk. They noticed that the legs were leaning a little too much. Then they looked closer and realized I had attached the legs to the inside of the desk, as opposed to the outside, like they should have been.
Boy, did that make me feel stupid. The good news is when I attached the legs properly to the desk, all of the “issues” I mentioned before disappeared. How about that!
